Anti-cheat updates coming to Wild Rift

Our Anti-cheat system is getting some upgrades in patch 6.1!

Hey everyone,

We've been listening to your feedback on cheating and map hacks, and we have been continuously working to make Wild Rift a more fair experience every patch. In 6.1, we're rolling out more updates to our anti-cheat system, aka Embedded Vanguard (or mVG for short).

The highlight is that starting soon after the launch of patch 6.1, if we detect a cheater in a match, that match will be terminated with no wins or losses distributed and the cheater will be banned. A pop-up will also appear to let you know when you have been in an impacted match.

Now, you might be wondering what Embedded Vanguard is and how it impacts your Wild Rift experience. It was easy to miss, but we briefly talked about mVG being used in Wild Rift, VALORANT Console, and Mac OS last August. Embedded Vanguard is the companion product to Vanguard for platforms where we can safely "embed" the security right into the game client. Unlike the League PC experience, mobile operating systems do not require us to run mVG at all times to maintain a fair competitive experience, so when you fully close an instance of Wild Rift, mVG will no longer be running.

As always, whenever we introduce a new feature into Wild Rift our Player Support team is here to help, if you are having any issues please let us know

We'll be following up later on in the patch with more information about how effective mVG has been and what we are doing in the future. Until then, we'll see you on the Rift.
